iBazzar Driver — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how iBazzar ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the iBazzar Driver mobile application ("App"). The App is provided exclusively to authorized delivery drivers ("you", "Driver") operating on the iBazzar delivery platform.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

Name, phone number, and email address.
Profile photo (if provided).
Government-issued identification and vehicle information (for driver verification).
Payment / bank account details for earnings payout.

1.2 Location Data

The App collects precise and approximate GPS location data while you are logged in and on-duty, including while the App is in the background or the device screen is off. Location data is used only for legitimate delivery operations as described in Section 2.

1.3 Device and Usage Data

Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
App version, crash logs, and diagnostic information.
Push notification tokens (via OneSignal) to deliver order alerts.

1.4 Order and Delivery Data

Pickup and drop-off addresses assigned to you.
Delivery timestamps, route data, and proof-of-delivery confirmations.
Customer contact details required to complete the delivery.

2. How We Use Information

Assign, dispatch, and track delivery orders in real time.
Show your live location on the map to customers and dispatchers while a delivery is active.
Calculate estimated times of arrival (ETAs) and optimize routing.
Alert you of new order assignments via push notifications and a foreground audible alarm.
Calculate earnings and process payouts.
Verify driver identity and ensure platform safety.
Provide customer support and resolve disputes.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations.

3. Android Permissions Explained

The App requests the following Android permissions. Each is used only for the specific purpose described.

Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION)

Used to track the Driver's real-time GPS position during active deliveries. Background location access is required so that customers and dispatchers can see the Driver's position even when the App is not in the foreground (for example, while the Driver is using a navigation app). Location tracking runs only while the Driver is on-duty and stops when the Driver goes off-duty or completes the delivery.

Foreground Service — Location (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION)

Runs a persistent foreground service that streams the Driver's GPS location to the iBazzar backend during active deliveries. A visible notification informs the Driver that location tracking is active. This is required by Android to prevent the system from killing the location service when the App is backgrounded.

Foreground Service — Special Use (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE)

Runs a foreground service that plays a continuous audible alarm to alert the Driver of an incoming order assignment. The alarm stops as soon as the Driver taps the notification or opens the App. This is necessary because delivery orders are time-sensitive and unattended orders are automatically reassigned to other drivers.

Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

Used to display push notifications for new order assignments, order status updates, and platform announcements. Notifications are delivered via OneSignal.

Wake Lock & Battery Optimization Exemption (WAKE_LOCK, REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS)

Used to ensure the App can reliably receive order notifications and stream the Driver's location even when the device is idle. Without these permissions, Android's aggressive battery-saving behavior can cause the Driver to miss time-sensitive orders.

Internet (INTERNET)

Required to communicate with the iBazzar backend and third-party services (mapping, notifications).

4. How We Share Information

We share your information only as necessary to operate the service:

Customers: Your first name, real-time location (during active deliveries), and the delivery ETA are shown to customers whose orders you are fulfilling.
Dispatchers and admins: Driver location, order status, and performance metrics are visible to iBazzar operations staff through the courier dashboard.
Service providers: We use trusted third parties to operate the service:
- OneSignal — push notification delivery.
- Google Maps Platform — mapping, geocoding, and route calculations.
- Cloud hosting providers — application hosting and data storage.
These providers are contractually bound to protect your information.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of iBazzar, our users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain Driver account and delivery data for as long as your driver account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Precise location history is retained only for the period needed to verify completed deliveries and resolve disputes, and is thereafter aggregated or deleted.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate information.
Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
Withdraw consent for optional data processing.
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended exclusively for authorized adult drivers and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
